02 — About
Coffee worthslowingdown for.
We roast in small batches, buy from growers we know by name and believe the best coffee is the one that makes you sit down.

01
Our story
Roast & Ritual began in 2018 with a second-hand drum roaster in a Bandra garage and a conviction that Indian cities deserved better daily coffee. No dark, angry shots — just sweet, considered cups, roasted so you can taste the place they came from.
Twelve years in, the roastery has grown by exactly one bigger roaster. The batches are still thirty kilos. The sorting is still by hand. The pace is still the point.

02
Our sourcing.
We buy forwards, pay fixed prices and visit farms on foot. From Chikmagalur shade arabica to the washing stations of Yirgacheffe, every lot is cupped twice — once at origin, once in our roastery — before it earns a bag.
- Direct trade, fixed prices
- Hand-sorted to remove defects
- Two cupping passes per lot
- Traceability down to the farm
03
Our roasting
Heat, time and a lot of listening. Our roaster is a thirty-kilo air-drum machine, and most mornings the roastery smells like toast, honey and woodsmoke.
